September 15th is international dot day so the 3rd graders are creating artwork inspired by a lovely book called "The Dot." Each third grader is given a square piece of paper and then they trace a quarter of a circle in black crayon. Students draw abstract art by drawing shapes and lines in crayon and then paint inside the shapes and lines. When 4 papers are put together they create a full circle, as seen on the right.
