Students will create maps all about themselves by creating imaginative scenes that tell a story. Their map must have signs to identify the different locations and at least 2 roads that are labeled.
Students will be able to define the word cartography and be able to express personal stories and experiences.
They will use markers, colored pencils and crayons to draw their map on a white piece of paper. Then cut out their island and glue onto a piece of blue paper. Finally, give their island a name on a separate piece of paper.
