Facts about Day of the Dead: • NOT Halloween • November 1st & 2nd • Celebration held in Mexico and Countries in Central America • Celebration to remember the people who have died • Skeletons is a symbol that is used on these days | The 4th graders are starting a collaborative art lesson with the middle school 8th graders. The 8th graders in Spanish Class have made informational videos for the 4th graders to view about Dia de los Muertos also know as Day of the Dead. Check out the 8th grade blog here! The 4th graders are creating their own Fun and Bright Skeleton using bright colors and shapes. They will also give their skeleton an outfit. They will be only using the left side of their paper. Once the 4th graders have finished we are sending our skeletons off to the middle school. There, the 8th graders will be adding their own skeleton. |
