This lesson uses the least amount of materials using only paper and sharpie pen but my 3rd graders really enjoy making these robots! The reason why they love them so much is that their robot can look however they want, they just need to practice creating value using a pen. | I pass out a handout that shows 4 different examples of creating value. Next to the definition are 4 examples of how to use the value technique and how it changes when the lines/dots get closer together. Value is the lightness and darkness of a color The students mush use all 4 of the techniques in their robot drawing to show value. |
